transferring domain from godaddy.com to wordpress
-
hi! i have a godaddy.com account with a domain i purchased and i pay monthly for hosted wordpress. If i switch to the $4/month personal wordpress subscription (looks like i can have my custom domain with that) will everything from my previous domain switch over, beyond just the site name? For instance, the blog posts I’ve written, can i access those to edit and the coding for the format of the site that i’ve chosen? It was done on a wordpress account…just a hosted one paid through godaddy.com. I’m new to this and would love any guidance to get rid of my godaddy account yet have everything appear when i switch over to using wordpress directly. What is the easiest way to make this happen?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi @jjones0815
Yes, you can definitely bring your self-hosted site to WordPress.com from godaddy.
There is a wonderful resource to walk you through the process here:
