Transferring domain – IPS Tag

  I really just need a dummy’s guide please!

  I’ve just exported my website content from GoDaddy to WordPress.com because my current GoDaddy plan no longer fits my budget. I’ve connected my old domain to my new WordPress and I’ve read several instruction pages on transferring my domain completely from GoDaddy to WordPress but none of them seem to have the answers I need. There is no option on GoDaddy for an auth code or EPP code as per the instructions on WordPress and I can’t figure out how to get an IPS tag for my new wordpress site to then put into my GoDaddy transfer page.
  
  Please help! All I want to do is migrate everything over to WordPress.com and it’s proving incredibly difficult.

  @amymcintoshauthor I see that you already have your domain loading your site here. If your domain is under 60 days old at GoDaddy, you will not yet have an option to transfer it. Once those 60 days pass you can follow those steps though.

  Hello,

  I have been trying to transfer my domain may-day.uk for a while now to LWS.fr and I can’t seem to be able to. I need the EPP code of the registrar to which I want to transfer my domain.

  Could you please please help?

  Hey @amymcintoshauthor!

  Just wanted to clarify that .co.uk domains cannot be transferred to WordPress.com, but only connected (which you have done already)

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/

  You should be all set as your domain can remain with your current registrar. Otherwise, you can explore which other registrars support transfer of .co.uk domains and transfer the domain there. In this case, your site will continue to be hosted at WordPress.com and should not be affected if the domain configuration is preserved when you make the transfer of the domain.

  @cfrancaistutor, your domain is registered with WordPress.com, so you can follow this guide to transfer it away https://wordpress.com/support/domains/transfer-domain-registration/
