Transferring Domain Name

  I am trying to get the verification code with no success for the domain to transfer it along to a different registrar. We have been self-hosting the blog for some time now and would like to keep all site data in one account.

  However when I go in the Domain information + contact email are not accounts we use. So I am not receiving the email with the authorisation code. The domain is active and the next renewal date seems to be July 2015.

  Hi joycebartelsdaal,

  Are you able to get into the part where it wants to email you the code but just don’t have access to the email address it is sending to?

  If that is the case you can see this page http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-management/#update-contact-information

  It will explain how to update your domain contact information so you then should be able to receive the email.

  Hi there!

  It looks like you still have Private Registration enabled. In order to get your code you’ll need to cancel that. Here’s steps to do that, and the rest of the transfer:

  Also, please be aware that any changes to your contact information in the domain manager will trigger a 60 transfer lock. It sounds like this is unavoidable if you don’t have access to the accounts listed on the contact form.
