Transferring domain name

  I have transferred my domain name, fabulousatfifty5.com several times but it is not working. I used a code, its says it worked but I don’t see it. Do I have to pay 96$ a year for wordpress? I thought it was free??

  Your web domain host – HostGator- will be the place to take care of this.
  They should have a box where you can tell them to forward your website to your wordpress account.
  Call their support and tell them what you want to do.

  WordPress is free for the first 3gb which is a lot of space if you make the pictures web size.

  I m soooooo frustrated. I just want me domaine name fabuolusatfifty5.com to work on wordpress. This is a nightmare!!! I have called hostgator 9 times in the last two days. They are saying you have to make this work and there is no phone number to call you. I am s frustrated. I thought wordpress was going to be good but it’s a nightmare. ALL I WANT TO DO IS BLOG!!!I want my domaine name to be on wordpress. When I get a code from hostgator it goes to the billing part and says I have to pay 40$ . You said I didn’t have to pay!! PLEASE HELP ME.

  Hostgator and WordPress.com are two different places. You can create a site at HostGator using the WordPress.org software or you can create a site here at WordPress.com. It is free here only if you have a site address that ends in the suffix wordpress.com. If you want to use your HostGator domain address to replace the address https://theresafabuloustravel.wordpress.com/ (either by transferring it or mapping it) then you need to upgrade to a paid WordPress.com plan.

  I cannot get my domain name from hostgator. They did all that they were supposed to do but when I try and add it, it says I have to upgrade. Are you sure I don’t have to pay to get my domaine name used on wordpress???
