transferring domain name

I can’t transfer my established domain name to WP for another 30 days (because of the 60-day prohibition). If I connect it now instead, can I still transfer it in 30 days when the 60-day period is up?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

You can connect your domain instead of transferring it. This will allow you to use your domain the same way as if it were registered here, except that you’d still manage the domain with your current registrar. You can still transfer the domain anytime you want (when the domain is out of its 60-day transfer lock). Adding the domain as a domain connection would not prevent you from transferring it later.

Hope that helps! I noticed you are yet to upgrade your site to a paid plan, which is required to set your custom domain as primary. If you upgrade to a yearly plan, you get a free domain for the first year. You can use that free domain credit to transfer your domain, too. This way, you will get a free year with the domain when you transfer it to us.

You can check out our plans and pricing here: https://wordpress.com/plans – If you’re not sure which plan to pick, please tell us more about your site (such as what’s the site for, and what features do you need on it). We’ll be able to suggest a paid plan based on your requirements.
