Transferring domain, need EPP code
-
I am attempting to transfer my domain from WordPress.com to a self-hosted one through Bluehost. When I go to “My Domains” in Bluehost, select my domain, and click “Transfer,” I see the following info:
Domain: 333horror.com
Created: October 27th, 2019
Expiration: October 27th, 2020 (239 days)
Current Registrar: Automattic Inc.
Transfer Lock: Unlocked
EPP Authorization Code: [blank form]It says I need to obtain the code from my current registrar, but the Automattic site has no info on authorization codes, and they’ve made it very difficult to have any dialogue with them. Their general help form claims that they will respond hopefully within a “few weeks.” Is there another way of finding out this EPP code?

Hi there!
I’m not sure where you saw this message but we generally reply within 24h and I can see that my colleague has already replied to your email yesterday and today.

Your colleague sent me this link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
But it doesn’t match with what I’m seeing, referred to in my initial message. Can anyone provide me with the EPP authorization code?

We cannot provide you directly with the code, you will need to follow the steps exactly as described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/ to obtain the code and transfer the domain.
Would you please let us know when you encounter something different while attempting to follow them?
