transferring domain – need help sending code

  I’m trying to transfer my domain from Wix to WordPress and I received an e-mail from Wix including a code that I’m supposed to e-mail WordPress. What e-mail address should I forward this e-mail to?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#transferring-a-domain-to-wordpress-com The option is to purchase an upgrade to map an existing domain. You need to point your nameservers at wix to wordpress.com. See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

  Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

  I already purchased to map an existing domain but Wix does not allow me to change nameservers. They tell me to just e-mail you the code. This is an endless cycle and I really want to use this service but so far I’ve paid for the domain for nothing to work.

  Hey there,

  That’s right, we don’t accept incoming domain transfers.

  Domains

  I think your best bet is have the domain transferred to a registrar such as Godaddy, then point your name servers to WordPress.com.

  ns1.wordpress.com
  ns2.wordpress.com
  ns3.wordpress.com
