  Trying to connect my website domain to WordPress.

  In addition to mapping it’s now possible to transfer your domain in to us to act as your new registrar. The benefit here is that all of your website related things are in one space. Let me know if you have any questions about that.

  So I currently have my domain on another server and I am looking to transfer from 1and1.com. I have went in and requested authorization code from 1and1 but when I go to wordpress nothing happens.

  Ive also went in to 1and1 and tried to send to wordpress.com but still… no change. My website is currently up on another server. Already have new site built in WordPress just need to connect the two.

  In order to use a domain I have with 1and1 I have to have a paid plan with WordPress?

  Hi @monumentalfundingsolutions, yes, you would need an upgrade. The WordPress.com Personal Plan upgrade is only $48 per year, and in addition to being able to use your own domain name, you get a space upgrade and the ability to hide the ads that we occasionally show on free sites to help pay for the services and keep the free things free.
