Transferring domain ownership from one WordPress user to another

  I have a similar issue to the one raised in this thread.

  I originally registered a domain through WordPress.com to help set up a blog for another user. That domain is now up for renewal, and the other user (also an Admin for the blog) would like to take ownership of it. Future billing notifications should now be sent to them, as I will no longer be running that blog.

  In the discussion linked above, macmanx suggested that the other user would need to make contact with WordPress by replying to the help forum topic.

  In my case, I’m the domain owner. Is that still the best method for getting the new blog admin to contact you? If not, please let me know.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  In the past the staff have also transferred upgrades to a different account when the upgrade owner requested a specific upgrade to be transferred to a specific account – use small clear words

  I have also flagged this for staff attention

  Thanks auxclass! That link doesn’t seem to help, unfortunately – it covers transferring upgrades to different sites.

  This is what I need:

  Current owner: morsla
  New owner: supriyasingh2013

  Items that should be transferred to new owner:

  • Domain Mapping for supriyasingh.org
  • Domain Registration for supriyasingh.org
  • Private Registration for supriyasingh.org

  Hi there,

  Thanks for posting those details — I just transferred ownership of the domain supriyasingh.org to supriyasingh2013 for you. That user can now manage and renew the domain from their My Upgrades page.

  Would you also like me to transfer ownership of the blog itself to that admin? (That’s separate from ownership of the domain being used on the blog.) That would allow you to leave the blog if you no longer need access to it.

  Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

  Sure thing! I just set supriyasingh2013 as the owner, and you are still an admin on the site. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
