Transferring domain purchased through wordpress.com to another user

  Hello-

  The domain I need help with is andrewkelleysimons.com.

  I need to transfer the ownership of a domain from me to another person. I was managing a website for a client for a while, and had purchased the domain through my account. However, I am not managing the site anymore, and the domain is up for renewal. SO: How can I transfer the domain ownership to a new wordpress account that he will create?

  Hoping to do this soon so all help is greatly appreciated!

  Hi there,

  I’d be happy to help with this! Once the new WordPress.com account is created, please reply here with the new account’s username and/or email address. (The email address will be redacted from the support forum for your privacy, but staff can still see it.)

  We can then transfer the domain to the new account for you, so the new owner can renew it. Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

  Thanks rachelmcr! He has created the new account and we are ready to go.

  The need account email is: (email visible only to moderators and staff) If you could let me know when the transfer has taken place, I would really appreciate it. I will also confirm with him.

  Hi Cord,

  I just transferred the domain to the other account, as requested, so you’re all set! I also emailed the new owner to let him know how to renew the domain and update the domain registrant information.

  When you confirm with the new owner, please encourage him to renew the domain right away, since it just expired. If you have any questions, please let me know!
