I am in the process of transferring my domain name over to WordPress but it’s saying free with plan but then asking for £84! I don’t want a plan I just want to tie it to my existing blog. Please advise.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to transfer in a domain:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/Are you logged into an account which has a plan already paid for?
Thank you.

Thanks, @catkiinson!
@kelvinhayesglobal a plan is required to add a domain bought elsewhere to a site hosted by WordPress.com. We have plans which offer a variety of features including a personal plan starting at £36.00 a year. You’ll find more on plans and their features at:
https://wordpress.com/plansLet us know if you have any other questions on adding a domain to your site.

Hi again
I keep being notified to go to checkout but there is no way to cancel it, where is the cancel button!?
Secondly, I have registered my domain elsewhere but need the nameservers to my exact page, how do I do that?
-
Oh I see now but only when I use your link to plans does it give an option to trash. I I think £7pcm is too much. All I need is the nameservers and the option of a payment button. Some of the supposed benefits I don’t really need. Also what is domain transfer privacy? Hopefully we can find a solution we both like very soon.

Hi there,
All I need is the nameservers and the option of a payment button.
To use a domain with your site on WordPress.com, whether you transfer the domain here completely, or just connect it from your current provider, requires one of our paid plans.
The Simple Payments button is only available on the Premium and Business Plans.
I completely understand if you feel you don’t need the other features, but we only offer the upgrade options you see at My Site ->Plans. We don’t offer the features you want as stand-alone upgrades.
Also what is domain transfer privacy?
When you register a domain your domain provider is required by ICANN, the organisation that regulates all domain names on the web, to collect detailed contact information which is then published in a publicly-accessible online database.
Since the new European privacy regulations came into effect on 25 May, much of that information is automatically hidden if you reside in or are an EU citizen, and here at WordPress.com that info is hidden for the majority of our domains no matter where the domain owner is located. But private registration adds an additional layer of security where we display proxy data for your domain instead of your actual information.
If you decide to transfer your domain to us, private registration is included at no extra cost as part of the free domain transfer in your plan.

Ahh, there’s no easy way anymore is there.
Thanks Kokkieh for clearing things up.
I see now why it’s asking for £84 (it’s a year upfront) but it’s too much, £5pcm yep that would be ok but not £7 it was actually cheaper where I was!
