transferring domain to wordpress site

  I purchased a domain through wix however I want to use the wix domain for a site I made on wordpress. I currently have a free account on wordpress but I would like to upgrade to the 18 dollar a year account. If I upgrade how can I transfer the wix domain to my wordpress site?
