Transferring domain to wordpress.org

  I purchased my domain name through wordpress when I set up my wordpress.com account. Now I realize for the theme I want I will need a wordpress.org site. How do I go about transferring my domain name to be used for the .org site? I don’t need to transfer the blog just the domain. I’ve already set up hosting and installed wordpress.org but when I try to log into admin it always brings me back to wordpress.com site.
