Transferring Domains

  I started a wordpress.com blog, and bought a domain for it. Later, I built a website, and now want to use the domain for the website instead. So, I transferred the domain to A Small Orange, and my name servers have also been changed to ns1 and ns2.asmallorange.com.

  However.

  The domain I purchased with WordPress (jekcarter.com) is still taking me to my wordpress.com blog (even though THAT url is now jekcarter.wordpress.com). Also, according to wordpress, the domain (jekcarter.com) is still registered with them, even though according to Automattic, it is not.

  This is incredibly frustrating, what do I do?

  It actually sounds like you’re trying to move your domains in two opposite directions. Regardless, the instructions will be found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-a-domain/

  jekcarter.com – was changed today – it can take 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the corners of the internet – also due to caching issues you will probably be the last one to see the changes

  http://jekcarter.com/ takes me to a root directory with nothing in it – so the changes are working
