Transferring domains

    I ‘own’ two wordpress.com domains, say 123.wordpress.com and 456.wordpress.com
    I’ve done most of my writing on 123, but want to change the domain to 456.

    Short of export/importing all my content, how do I change the domain directly? Eg by de-registering 456 and changing 123 to the name for 456? Are there any restrictions/delays to this?

    You cannot change a site URL to a URL that is already in use. And deleting 456 in the hopes that it will be “freed” up for use will not work. Please heed the deletion warnings about how URLs cannot be reused.

    You will need to export 123 and import into 456, I’m afraid,
