Transferring existing site to WordPress

    I’m transferring my website from Wix. When starting with WordPress, it’s asking for my existing domain (since I have one). If I input that, will my domain automatically start pointing to the new WP site which isn’t set up yet? How do I set up my site and THEN point my existing domain to it?

    the first thing you need to do is to create a website on wordpress.com by clicking my sites and then on ADD A NEW SITE on the top left corner of your wordpress.com account.

    The wizard will take you through the process of creating the website, after the site has been successfully created you will go to the Tools menu on the website dashboard where you will see import, click on it. Wix is part of the options there you can import a wix website to WordPress from there.
