Transferring Followers
-
I need to move my WordPress.com followers to a new self hosted site using wordpress.org. I have installed and linked jetpack to my .com site but they haven’t transferred.

Hi there,
I can transfer your subscribers for you!
I will just need the name of the third party self hosted WordPress.org site which you are moving to in order to do so. Also, before I can transfer your subscribers over, you will need to have installed and connected the Jetpack plugin.
Let me know when that’s done and I’ll get them moved over!

the site I am moving them to is: theinvoluntaryhousewife.com
I already have jetpack installed and connected so hopefully everything should be ready to go!
Thanks!

Hey there,
Our systems are not registering theinvoluntaryhousewife.com as being a domain which has connected to our site via Jetpack. Is it possible that you’ve connected previously via a different domain and then changed the name of your site since then? I ask because I do see a couple of other domains which are forwarding to the same site as theinvoluntaryhousewife.com however they are no longer connected via Jetpack.
If this sounds like something which may have occurred, you will need to disconnect Jetpack and then reconnect it. That should re-establish the connection with the correct domain. If it doesn’t, you may have to uninstall Jetpack and then reinstall it, however that shouldn’t be necessary.
Please let me know once you’ve disconnected and reconnected the plugin!

Yikes, sorry about that….I deactivated and reactivated it and when I connected jetpack it showed that it is now linked to the correct site
theinvoluntaryhousewife.comThanks!

Not a problem, and you’re now all set!
All of your followers have been migrated to your new WordPress.org site, and you can check out the list right here:

Have a great week!
