Transferring followers

  I am winding down my current blog (bottomdream16.wordpress.com) and in a few day’s time would like to either
  a) transfer my followers to a new blog which I have just started (2ndfrombottom.wordpress.com)
  or
  b) copy followers to the new blog but stillleave them following the original blog too

  Is this possible please?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  We would only transfer the followers if your intention is to use the new blog in place of the old one. If it is a totally separate blog that you want your users of the older blog to follow, I would suggest you contact your followers (via a post?) and invite them to join the second blog. That way they are informed of what new blog they are following.

  Yes that is the case – I was just being curious. So please could you go ahead now and transfer followers from the old blog (bottomdream16.wordpress.com) to the new one (2ndfrombottom.wordpress.com)?

  Two further questions:

  Will that apply to both WordPress and email followers?
  Will they receive notification of the change or is it a case of just waiiting until I make my next post on the new blog?

  I have moved over all your subscribers from bottomdream16.wordpress.com to 2ndfrombottom.wordpress.com as requested. It should be completed soon.

  Yes, we do migrate both your email and and WordPress.com followers.

  Will they receive notification of the change or is it a case of just waiiting until I make my next post on the new blog?

  I do not believe they will get notified of the transfer until your next post.
