Transferring followers from .com to .org blog

  I have read that I can transfer the followers from my .com to my new self-hosted .org blog by using Jetpack. However, I cannot see in Jetpack how to connect the two.

  Is there a simpler way for my followers to transferred from dbadventure.wordpress.com to my new blog http://www.dbwanderlust.com ?
