Transferring follows from old blog

  I recently changed from the domain jonathan1723.wordpress.com to wallacerunnymede.com, transferred my old material, and put a “redirect” so that any old jonathan1723 links can be redirected to the new domain.

  I now see that this function doesn’t automatically transfer the follows from my previous domain.

  I saw an earlier post on WordPress support about transferring follows, but that was where someone offered to do the task on the OP’s behalf. So is there a way for me to ensure the people previously following me can still follow my account; or is it possible for someone to sort this out for me?
