Transferring from 3rd party web development company to wordpress
-
Currently our website is managed by a 3rd party. They developed it in word press and we use WooCommerce, lots of plug-ins, have connections to our bank and ShipStation. We have decided to take ownership back of our website and release the company. How do I do this and have WordPress host our website and get the performance we need and ensure access, etc. is working

Hi there!
Your current site is using the WordPress.org software. If you want to move it to WordPress.com, you can follow the general instructions here: https://move.wordpress.com
You’ll need to start by choosing a new plan for your site at https://wordpress.com/pricing – then you will be able to migrate the site from your current host to WordPress.com.
Since your site uses WooCommerce along with other plugins, you’ll need the WordPress.com Business plan or higher. Plugins and third-party themes are not allowed below the Business plan on WordPress.com.
You can also use a plugin like All in One WP Migration to migrate your WordPress.org site to WordPress.com after creating your site with us with the Business plan.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions. You can also reach out to us at https://wordpress.com/help/contact after upgrading to the Business plan for live chat or email support.
Regards
