Transferring from Blogger to Google
-
Already using WordPress for my own blog and I find, overall, very easy to use.
Question: I am the founder of new non for profit community radio station. Another member suggested Blogger for our website – 10 dollars covers domain registration and hosting. I registered the domain with them, but find it beyond aggravation.
If I pay the extra 15 dollars for web hosting to WordPress, how would I go about switching my domain away from Blogger/Google/Whatever they are to WordPress?
Would this be fairly easy?
Also, can we imbed a live streaming audio broadcast from another website’s audio server onto our WordPress site?

Since you already have the domain name, all you would need is the domain mapping upgrade ($9.97) and then to point your domain name to the servers here at wordpress.COM.

On the streaming audio broadcast, your only possibility would be to try using the vodpod service, which can be used to embed videos that are not supported here at wordpress.COM, but I don’t know if it will work with streaming audio or not. You can give it a try and see. It may be that it only works with videos.
