Transferring from GoDaddy to WordPress

  I will be transferring my domain and host to WordPress. I have a website already built on WordPress but it’s not working and Godaddy customer service is not great. I cannot access my WordPress account, for some reason it shows me as a new client. Please help with first steps. Thanks

  Hi there,

  let me explain two scenarios:

  1. Your site uses an open-source version of WordPress
  2. Your site uses the website builder offered by GoDaddy

  If it’s powered by WordPress, one of the methods described here can be used to migrate it to WordPress.com.

  If it was built using GoDaddy’s own website builder Since the GoDaddy builder isn’t compatible with WordPress, then follow this guide:

  There are two options for domain transfers as well:
