Transferring from premium to free wordpress.com

  Hi,

  We would like to set up a premium wordpress.com account for an academic project which runs for three years. We want to use the premium account for its increased functionality/interactivity. For example, we want to be able to include a lot of video. However, after the time-frame of the project we would need to transfer to a free account as we will no longer be able to finance the premium account. Please can you provide guidance on how easy this process is and how much content is lost? Alternatively, can you also give us information about paying up-front for several years of the premium service?

  Hi dryproject,

  If you stop paying for the Premium upgrade, you’ll just stop being able to upload new content to it. All existing content should remain intact and accessible.
