my wordpress.com site: (thegreatone22.wordpress.com) was suspended. Will all content be transferred over to whataguy.us at wordpress.org? My host domain was obtained through Bluehost as recommended by WordPress.

  • Hi there,

Matters regarding suspended blogs are only discussed with the Terms of Service Team and not the public forums. Please fill out our contact form if you wish to continue to discuss your site with our team:

    Good morning Darnelldibbles,

Just to follow-up and so you know, I did just as you indicated (as I had done before) and posted my comments (request to have my WordPress.com blog reactivated) and as usual no response from the Terms of Service Team.

But nevertheless I appreciate you responding to me.

    Thanks again.

No response from WordPress.com. Business as usual from WordPress.com…

  • Hi there,

Sorry for not responding yesterday. I was out with the flu. You have to export your own content over to your WordPress.org site. That is what the message provides when you check the wp-admin:

    https://thegreatone22.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

You should do it soon because it is only for a limited time.

    Thanks,

    Good morning Darnelldibbles,

Hope you’re feeling better. Once again thanks for responding.

The problem is that I don’t know how to export the content, this is why I was hoping that WordPress.com would re-instate (un-suspend) my blog. I spent the money to sign up with Bluehost but really am not interested in such a complicated “system” as I only wanted a blog for entertainment and to share ideas and interests with others; not for business purposes.

I requested that my blog be un-suspended with the condition that I would remove all questionable content within 24 hours. This would allow me to pick up right where I left off, with my theme, cover page, comments, widgets, etc.

But when I’ve made the request to WordPress.com it’s been ignored, by the Terms of Service Team. Is there anything you could do from your end to help with my request?

    Thank you!

  • From our records, we gave you several opportunities to clean up your site which was ignored, thus the reason for the indefinite suspension. Given the content that you had on your site, going through Bluehost with WordPress.org is a much better option for you, for the content on your site is a complete violation of our Terms of Service.

Thank you for your response. No excuse, but I wasn’t aware that the content is a complete violation of the Terms of Service as I’ve seen many, many blogs on WordPress.com with more graphic content. But nonetheless, If I’m guilty of violations my suspension is deserved.

Thank you once again for your time.
