Transferring Google Workspace from WordPress.com to Google
-
I recently transferred my domain from WordPress.com to Google Domains. Now I need to transfer my Google Workspace Business Starter plan associated with the domain from WordPress to Google. I was told by wordpress support to cancel the subscription and that I would not lose any data until the date my subscription ends. After I cancel, I was told to sign up for a Google Workspace account through Google and verify my domain ownership and configure my DNS records to point email to Google servers during the setup process. However, when I go to cancel the subscription, a warning pops up that says I will lose all my Workspace data and access immediately.
How do I go about transferring this without losing access to my email or data?

Jetpack: No

Hi there!
As far as I’m aware, you do not lose access to data immediately. Google will send you an email to set up billing directly with them soon after you cancel the subscription with us so that you can continue paying for the subscription. During this time, no data should be deleted.
Can you take a screenshot of the message you see and upload it here? Make sure no personal information is shown in the screenshot, as it’s a public forum.
Thanks!
