Transferring html from another blog

Hi. I’ve decided to try wordpress as blogspot has too much downtime. The question if, how do i get all my old pposts and commmetns over to here? Is it possible? I’d hate to think I have to do each post one by one. Suggestions?

The good news is wordpress doesn’t have downtime and is not difficult to get a connection to. The bad news is that the technology is right there on your dashboard BUT experience teaches:
(1) importing your posts from Blogger rarely ever goes smoothly;
(2) importing your posts from Blogger at a busy time of the day on the internet as per east coast of the USA times is the worst time of all to choose;
(3) importing your posts from blogger goes more smoothly if you do it at a very, very early time or very very late as per the east coast of the USA;
(4) the forum search box has many threads on this subject worth reading before your begin;
(5) some poeple choose to only import 10-20 posts at a time – fewer posts fewer problems to correct;
(6) some people do end up copying and pasting their posts;
(7) some people have so many posts and so much trouble that they simply abandon the posts and move on.
You may feel this post is negative in tone but I do believe it’s important for you to know that this is rarely ever a breeze so forgive me from shooting from the lip and may your import be especially blessed. :) -
