Transferring HTML site to WordPress

    I’m transferring an old static html site over to wordpress for a company. When I log in to wordpress to create a site and it gives me the option to transfer my domain, will this instantly erase the old site? I need to transfer content as well as submit a preview of the site before taking over the domain and making it live. Is this possible?

    Hi –

    Transferring the domain won’t erase the old site as that is set up with your current hosting provider.

    My suggestion though, is to build your new site and have it all ready to go before you connect the domain. This way, you won’t run any interference in your SEO.
