  if i transfer my domain to wordpress how much will it cost me upfront to do this

  Hi there!

  You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to transfer in a domain. Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or transfer/map one you already own.

  So the cost will depend on the plan that you choose for your website. Your domain will be renewed automatically for another year upon completion of a successful transfer.
