Transferring my domain

None of the options required to transfer my domain are available under ‘Domain’. The only options are to change domain name or create custom domain. The option to transfer my domain (nor any of the options shown on the help article) appears. I paid the yearly domain renewal fee however I do not have a plan any longer. Is this necessary in order to transfer the domain?

I do not see any domain upgrades under your @grittygotham WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/.
I do see that you have purchased the WordPress.com Personal Plan but no domain (included in the plan) has been chosen to this point.
Is it possible you made your domain purchase under a different login? What is the URL of the site associated with the upgrade you are needing help with? Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

When I had initially purchased wordpress in 2017 I had secured grittygotham.com. I renewed it again in August 2020. Unfortunately, I contested the charge for my wordpress account as it didn’t want to continue with the site however, I didn’t realize that my domain grittygotham.com was associated with it. I thought I had paid for that separately. I am concerned that is where my issue is.When I checked the domain registration it appears it is still on the wordpress servers (see belo ICANN registration information) and active but I cannot find if I am still the owner. When I reactivated my account as you saw, the site did not show up.
I had activated another account with the URL grittygotham.wordpress.com. However, that account does not have the domain associated with it either. So here are the two wordpress accounts: grittygothamcom.wordpress.com and grittygotham.wordpress.com.When I try the domain on a browser I get the following error message:
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
So, I am not sure what this means as I cannot upgrade to grittygotham.com with either account and being told it is still active.HELP!!!

I would like to transfer my domain to another registrar. Kindly remove the clientTransferProhibited in order for me to do the transfer. The site in question is afrodelic.com
Lastly, kindly confirm the registrar for WordPress: is it Sawbuck or Automattic?
