  Hi there. I have recently closed my account with you and would like to take my old domain name with me please. It was “thejollysportsman.com”
  Please advise as to how to go about this.

  this domain is not registered with WordPress.com, it was only mapped to your WordPress.com site. You will want to reach out to your current registrar to transfer it or point to another site.
