transferring my domain name

  Hi! I am trying to transfer a domain I already own. According to this page, https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/ , my TLD is supported, but when I tried to transfer the domain I got this error ‘We don’t support transfers for domains ending with .com, but you can map it instead.’ Can someone please explain? Thanks!

  Hi there,

  At the time you tried to do the transfer our domains infrastructure was undergoing maintenance, so it was not possible to start the transfer at that time.

  That maintenance is now over, so you should be able to start the transfer if you try again now.

  Let me know if you run into any further trouble with this.
