Transferring my Domain name to WordPress.com

  Hi there, I just signed up to wordpress.com and I selected that I have my own domain which I bought from Epik: https://www.epik.com. I don’t see the list of common domain providers on instructions on how to transfer my domain, can some advise please? Also if in the future, I want to transfer my domain to somewhere else is that possible?

  Hi there,

  You’ll need to contact support at Epik directly to ask for their instructions to unlock a domain and get the transfer code.

  However, if you only recently registered the domain, you will not be able to transfer it to us. That’s because any new domain, at any domain provider, is subject to a 60-day transfer lock after registration.

  So if that lock is currently on your domain, you’ll need to leave it registered at Epik, and just connect it here using the domain mapping upgrade instead. Again, you’ll need to contact support at Epik for their process to update the name servers to point to us.

  If you map the domain now, you’ll still be able to transfer it later, once it becomes eligible, at no additional cost.
