Transferring my domain to WordPress

  I have a domain name and website with iPage and I am wondering how to go about transferring my domain name to WordPress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com doesn’t accept incoming domain transfers, but you can still use the domain you purchased through iPage with your WordPress.com site. The process you’ll use is called domain mapping.

  Here’s how that works.
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Here are the specific instructions on how to update your name servers on the iPage side of the equation.

  Thanks very much Liz,

  I am not sure if I want to do this, at this point just doing the research.
  My next question is: Do I have to have a premium account in WordPress to transfer a domain?

  You don’t have to have Premium, but you will need the domain mapping upgrade. That upgrade is $13.00 per year.

  If you do decide to get the Premium upgrade, domain mapping is included :)
