Transferring my followers from WP.com to WP.org
-
I’ve just completed transferring my blog from wp.com to wp.org.
Is there a way I can bring all my followers as well?
Would rather not contact each of them to let them know, and just have it work seamlessly.
Thank you!

Hi there!
I have transferred your WordPress.com subscribers and email followers to your new site. Please note this does not include Facebook or Twitter followers. If you have Sharing enabled on your new site, your Facebook and Twitter followers will automatically be notified of any new posts.
I hope that helps!

Hi csonnek –
I went to look at my use list and I don’t see any of my previous followers there. Is there somewhere else I’m supposed to look?
https://connectingspiritwithlife.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php
The link above is to my previous site, and the comments made by previous users. I don’t see their name in my new user list, for my new site.
Anyone who had made a comment was required to register first.
Am I on the right track here?
Trying to see where the users were imported.
Thank you!
Suzanne

Authorizing someone to post comments on your site is not the same as people who follow your site on WordPress.com or via email. Since you required a commenter to not only enter their name and email address, you also required the poster to have a previously approved comment. This is part of your discussion settings and not your subscribers. Here’s more information on the discussion settings:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/Here is the list of people that were transferred to your new site:
https://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/?blog=50082207&blog_subscribers&type=wpcom&unit=1All the WordPress.com followers listed and 4 email subscribers were transferred.
I hope that clarifies things!

Hello csonnek –
I hope it’s ok I come back here for this, and will start another post if I need to.
A number of new registered users are coming in since I set up my site and they look like this:Username: gozd9i0s
E-mail: (email visible only to moderators and staff)Username: bjio664l
E-mail: (email visible only to moderators and staff)Username: hlsa3t
E-mail: (email visible only to moderators and staff)Which look to be to be spam.
Is there a setting I need to take care of to stop this?
What is appgate.pl?Thank you again :-)

I can only help with issues with sites on WordPress.com. Since your new site is self-hosted, I’m not able to view your site’s files or troubleshoot this particular problem. I can give you a few tips to help get you started, though!
If you have a good anti-comment spam plugin installed (like Akismet), you can wait and see what happens.
If you’re bothered by it, you could try a plugin like:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/
or
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ban-hammer/More info: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/users-registering-daily-with-pl-domain
Going forward, you can find support for your self-hosted WordPress site here:

Most of the people who subscribe to my website are from the .pl email as well. It does have me concerned. I’m not getting any hard answers on a web search.
