Transferring my paid website to a free wordpress blog

  I currently have a blog at http://www.bruisesandblessings.com for which I pay annually to keep the domain name. The blog has really become more of a journal and writing experience for me and I’d like to do that without the annual cost. I realize that I will lose the domain name. Please advise me on how to transfer my content to a free word press site. Thank you.

  My understanding is that you want to migrate all your contents over from self-hosted WordPress to a free WordPress domain (example, bruiseandblessings.wordpress.com)?
