Transferring of domain

  Hello,

  I purchased a domain name ending with .com.sg with Exabytes.

  1) Is it possible to transfer the domain name to wordpress.com business plan?
  2) Would there be additional charges?
  3) Does wordpress.com support domain name ending with .com.sg?
  4) What are the steps to transfer the domain name over?

  1. Currently WordPress.com does not support incoming domain transfers, but you can map the domain to get it working with your WordPress.com blog.
  Refer this document to understand how domain mapping is done in WordPress.com

  2. WordPress.com currenly supports domains listed in this document and you can check their charges as well,

  Hello!

  I just wanted to add a side note, as @pratikawari28 mentioned, WordPress does not support registering a .com.sg; however, you can map one to us, as Staff in this forum question mentions.

  As @pratikawari28 said, you can map the domain in by following the instructions on that article.

  If you upgrade to a Business plan, it will come with one free domain, which you can use towards mapping your registered domain in and there should be no additional charges.

  If you have any issues (as international domains can be a bit tricky), feel free to come back and a staff member can help from there!

  Thanks both of you. Really helpful. Once I purchase the business plan. The wordpress.com staff will guide me to set up my website right?

  And also, once I bought the business plan, all premium theme and plugin would be free to use right?

  Yes, WordPress Business plans come with email and live-chat support if you need it!

  Also yes, premium themes will be free to use, as well as the ability to use custom themes. All plugins will be free as well.

  Just to clarify on this – all Premium Themes sold by us will be free to use. But for themes bought from other providers you’ll still need to pay them.

  The same applies to third party plugins – there are free ones and paid ones. Buying a plan from WordPress.com will not give you access to paid plugins from other providers – those you’ll need to buy directly from the people who sell them.
