  What happens if I transfer the domain to WordPress then decide not to go with WordPress for my website, what happens?

  Hi @justdrene, you’d still be able to use the domain with another provider, however you wouldn’t be able to re-transfer it again right away as ICANN requires a waiting period between transfers.

  If you aren’t sure you’re staying, I’d recommend mapping the domain instead, then transferring when you’re ready:
