transferring or mapping my domain

  Im not sure which i should choose where my domain is concerned. Can anyone tell me which option is the better choice, transferring or mapping my domain.

  No problem, these are the differences between the two options:

  Domain mapping

  • The domain remains registered through your current provider.
  • The process creates a connection between the domain and WordPress.com.
  • The domain will need to be renewed through your current provider each year.

  Transferring the domain

  • The domain can be renewed here each year (after transfer).
  • The domain and site can be managed through one account.
