Transferring ownership of my blog

My former husband informed me he was transferring ownership of my blog to me. (Didn’t know he owned it.) He told me there were things for me to do but to ask WordPress. In my research, most of the information seemed to apply to the steps he needed to take. I am not clear about the current status of my blog, nor what I need to do to secure as owner.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • What is the URL of the site that he transferred to you?

  • Thanks, you’re an administrator of the site, but you are not currently the owner. If he wants to completely transfer ownership, he will need to complete these steps:

    Transfer a Site

As for your end, you really don’t need to do anything but accept an invitation to be an admin on the site, and that’s already done.

    I hope this helps!

So that was easy peasy! Thanks! I have another concern that I hadn’t thought of during this process. When former husband removed himself as administrator and owner (or maybe that is one and the same), were the posts associated with his name removed also? All posts were written by me but for some reason his name was assigned to some of them, maybe because he was helping me get started way back in the beginning. I am concerned about the possibility of having lost those posts, not knowing which ones. If so, is there a way to retrieve them?

  • No, removing a user doesn’t remove posts. He would have to of removed the posts himself before removing himself as an administrator.

    Are any posts missing?

Not that I know of. Thank you. All is well and I’m happy. Problem resolved.
