Transferring ownership to another user

Hi!
I am trying to transfer ownership of one of my blogs to another user. His WordPress account is set up. I followed the “transfer blog” task, acknowledged the bright red statement about what happens with the transfer, entered the email address for the other party and … nothing. I waited about 5 minutes for the email that is supposed to come to me from WordPress with follow-up instructions and nothing ever came. I tried the process again, with the same non-result. How long should it take for the follow-up email from WordPress to arrive? Is there something else I need to do? The blog in question is pirateputtputt.wordpress.com. Thanks so much! Every blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address.
To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B you must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to transfer to the other username account.
Then you add the other username account B as an Admin of the blog.

1. What is the username of the person you refer to please?
2. Check in your email client spam/ junk mail filter as well as your “social” tab in Gmail,if you use it. Thanks so much for your quick reply! Yes, I was logged in and, yes, I understood that I, as the sole owner (person A), would be transferring to another individual who would become the sole owner (person B). The step-by-step instructions I was following came from a WordPress staffer did not mention that I would first have to make person B a user on the blog in question under my account. Will following your instructions mean that Person B will be the new blog owner, but under my account? Or, will the process you describe transfer this particular blog to person B on his own account. That is the result we want. Thanks!

Does this person have an existing username account yet?
If not then he/she has to register one so you can proceed to tranfer the blog to it. -

Sorry for the trouble you had with transferring your blog. The domain upgrade attached to it may have complicated things a little bit. I’ve gone ahead and transferred the blog to “stankeeler” and included the domain “pirateputtputt.com” as well. Please confirm with the user “stankeeler” if everything looks good. Thank you!
