Transferring site

  A web designer in town took my domain and helped me create a site via WordPress / Wix. Things didn’t workout with them. Now I need to be able to get them off of my site, and run things myself. Can I transfer my site to my own account? Do I have to create a whole new site?

  Hi @karlyalmon, if you’re the domain owner, you can certainly set up a site here. Do you have access to the domain settings, or is the domain through your designer?

  We also have an option to import content from Wix: https://transferto.wordpress.com/wix

  It’s not foolproof, but it can at least help you get most content here. Let us know if you need help with that!
