Transferring Stats and Followers to Self Hosted
-
Hi there,
Can someone help me transfer my stats and followers from lenouvelartiste.wordpress.com to ephemeral-ink.com?
Is it also possible to re-direct my old wordpress site link to the new one to preserve SEO? The redirect plugin doesn’t seem to work with my Jetpack installation.
Thanks in advance guys and gals!

You have to purchase site redirect upgrade https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/
Install and activate the Jetpack plugin first http://jetpack.me and when Staff get to this thread they will move the stats for you. While you are waiting you can move your subscribers using these instructions.
Then type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff to move your stats. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Thankyou @timethief
I cannot however purchase the re-direct upgrade. I got to the checkout and then received a message that the upgrade couldn’t go through due to an issue with my Jetpack installation.

You can transfer your WordPress.com Followers and email subscribers from your WordPress.com blog to your Jetpack site by following the instructions here:
http://jetpack.me/support/subscription-migration-tool/Once you have that done, let me know and I can transfer stats for you.

Because you have the Domain Mapping upgrade for your domain, you do not need the Site Redirect upgrade. Domain mapping will work the same as Site Redirect.

Hi everyone. This thread is getting really unwieldy.
Going forward, please make a new thread for stats migration requests. Please do not piggyback onto other request threads. It makes things very confusing for staff like me to keep track of.
Thank you!

Also…
PLEASE NOTE:
Stats migration will only work perfectly if your post ID’s match between your WordPress.com site and your new self hosted site. If the IDs do not match, a single post will end up as two different posts in your stats. One will be the stats for the old ID and one the new. The stats cannot be combined unless the IDs are the same.
However, even if they aren’t the same, the overall site-wide traffic numbers will be the same. So it is only worth going and fixing if you absolutely need each post to have a completely accurate stats page.
