Transferring subscribers
-
I have transferred my blog to wordpress.org
It was called strengthishealth.com and remains that domain.
The problem is when transferring my subscribers didn’t transfer too. Now I don’t know how to get them back on my list.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
That’s not a problem, we can transfer your subscribers for you! In order to do so however, I’ll need you to install the Jetpack plugin if you haven’t already and then make sure that you’re connected. Once you’ve done so I should be able to transfer your subscribers!

Heya,
I’m still having issues resolving your site using our tools. Is the domain strengthishealth.com actively pointed at your blog and currently online, or did you just recently make some nameserver changes for your domain?
I ask because I also just tried to pull up your site and wasn’t able to get it to resolve using a browser either.
-
I don’t know where it has gone? I can’t even see the admin page? It was working this morning. and yes it is actively pointing there
-
I just checked again and was unable to reach your site. You may want to reach out to your site’s host or your domain’s registrar to see what the issue might be.
-
They just said in the forums there that it might be attacks on my hosts server. And i can’t contact bluehost because apparently their help line is down. i will get back to you when i know more thanks
-
Oh! Looking around online, it seems there are quite a few hosts which are down that are part of Endurance’s network. I’m sorry to hear that!
As you say, let me know when you’re back up and I’ll sort out the subscribers for you!

Heya,
So sorry for the delay! I was out over the weekend.
I’m glad to hear that your site is back up! I’ve verified that we’re able to get to it as well, and I’ve gone ahead and completed the migration for you. You can review your subscribers here:

That is brilliant thank you.
I have one last question; I have an account with aweber where I provide a free download in return for people signing up. Is there any way I can get the subscribers you have just transferred to be put directly on to the list with aweber?
-
Unfortunately there isn’t. You can certainly grab any email addresses from the URL I sent you earlier and can import those, however it is against our TOS for us to provide the actual email addresses of your WordPress.com subscribers. Sorry!
-
okay.
My last question is this; is there a way for me to edit the emails that are sent to these subscribers?
-
Yes, that you can indeed do! If you log in to your blog’s dashboard and then go to Settings >> Reading, then you will see a section called “Follower Settings”. You can edit the emails which are sent to your followers there!
