Transferring subscribers

  I recently changed my blog url and yet all the recent followers are being directed to the old url and they are following that site. I would really like to transfer the subscribers to my new site ( bohemianvistas.wordpress.com) from the old one ( shootingstar617.wordpress.com ) and I also wanted to know that if I delete my previous url will I lose any data or traffic?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi –

  Deleting a .wordpress.com site address is permanent and we aren’t able to restore it in the future if you change your mind. Any content from that site will also show as a broken link. I do not suggest deleted the old site.

  Thank you so much! Actually what is happening is most of my new followers are following the old site. So, if I delete that address, will this problem stop? Will I lose traffic then?

  I wouldn’t delete the site. Instead, you can mark it as private. This hides it from the internet and you need to approve any viewers of it.
