Transferring subscribers and likes to new Bluehost site

  Dear WordPress,

  Are you able to assist me in transferring all of my ~130 subscribers (email, RSS, etc) from my old wordpress hosted site, churnyourown.com to my new site, which is now hosted by Bluehost? I have just installed Jetpack, in case that helps. I would also like to have my “likes” transferred, if possible.

  Dear amightywp: Thank you so much for the super fast response – and on a holiday!

  I can see my subscriber list from the link you sent, so thank you for that! But when I log into my new site, I can’t seem to find any of them listed there. I clicked on “subscribers” and they’re not there. Under settings, I went to “email users” (this is a plugin I installed) and no one is listed there either. Do you know where I can find them so that I can email them?

  Heya,

  Subscribers and users are not quite the same thing. A subscriber will be emailed or notified (depending on how they’ve set up their preferences) whenever you post a new article on your blog. Basically they’re anyone who clicked on the “Follow” link on your blog.

  A user is someone who you have specifically invited to have additional access to your site. An author, contributor, editor, administrator, etc. These people can actually post or make changes to your site.

  Thank you for the clarification, however, my new site still shows no subscribers, which makes me think that the transfer didn’t work.

  If you log in to your new account’s Dashboard and then go to Jetpack >> Site Stats and then scroll to the bottom of the page, you will see a list of your subscribers.
