Transferring Subscribers and site stats
-
I transferred my blog from wordpress.com to Blue Host using jetpack.
The jetpack subscriber plug in is activated, but the NONE of my subscribers have transferred and the stats look like I just started the blog two days ago! I’m in the middle of a book deal, so the current stats and all of my list is VERY important! HELP!

Thank you so much. Is there a 301 redirect set up? If not can you do that as well?
Thank you,

HELP!
I went to the old dashboard to buy the Redirect. The old URL was the theobserversvoice.wordpress.com. But inside the redirect it says its already theobserversvoice.com, which it isn’t since none of my WordPress followers are getting my posts. They are finding me and telling me to do the redirect. What Am I missing Here? You’ve migrated the stats and the followers, yet the site is still dead in the water.
Id really just like to get it back to the way it was before the transfer. Can you please help a girl??
Thank you,
Janet -
Let’s ignore the Site Redirect upgrade for the moment. You really don’t need it given that you are were using a custom domain for your WordPress.com site. So your old URL’s will naturally point to your new site. For example, the URL of your “pissing off my dad….again” post on your WordPress.com site was:
If you go to that URL now, you will see the same post on your new site.
which it isn’t since none of my WordPress followers are getting my posts. They are finding me and telling me to do the redirect.
I’m not really sure what you mean here. Your WordPress.com followers should be seeing your posts in their Reader.
Id really just like to get it back to the way it was before the transfer.
I can do that for you, but I’m almost positive that it isn’t what you want. If you move your followers back to your WordPress.com site, you will need to keep posting on your your old WordPress.com site in order for them to see your posts.

So, just so I’m clear, you are all set? Or you want me to transfer subscribers back to your WordPress.com site?
-
no, don’t want to go back to WordPress.com. There are still some things that are wrong. There are no “shares” stats showing in the new stats, and I don’t receive an email when someone “likes” a post. Some of the previous Likes and comments have not transferred over and the time signature at the top of the stats is 7 hours ahead of PDT.
Thanks for your help,

hi there,
me again. I’m not getting all comments. They’re not even showing up, let alone no email notification. three people have wondered where their comments went. ugh… -
There are no “shares” stats showing in the new stats
I do not believe that shares are tracked by jetpack.
and I don’t receive an email when someone “likes” a post
In your site’s dashboard, go to Settings–> Discussion. There is a box to check for “email me whenever: someone likes one of my posts”.
Some of the previous Likes and comments have not transferred over
We do not have the ability to migrate comments and likes from .com to self-hosted at this time.
and the time signature at the top of the stats is 7 hours ahead of PDT
Double check that you have your blog’s time set correctly in Settings->General.

Rootjosh,
thank you for all your help. I sense you are done with me and I get it!
big hug,

Oh no, I’m happy to help to the extent that I can. But the WordPress.com support staff’s ability to assist on self-hosted sites is somewhat limited.
