Transferring subscribers from WordPress.com to WordPress.org

  Hello,
  About a month ago I moved from WordPress.com over to WordPress.org. Now I am looking to transfer my subscribers over to the new site.
  Old site: http://Armansheffey.wordpress.com
  New site: http://blog.armansheffey.com [Edge Of Clarity]
  I have Jetpack installed if that helps.

  Can you help?

  Thanks! Also is there a specific wordpress plugin that I might look at using that would add to that subscriber list? I would rather not have to have some subscribers listed there and then others through feedburner etc. Let me know if you know what I mean.

  Hi Arman,

  I’ve migrated your followers over. You don’t need a new plugin—with Jetpack, you can add the “Blog Subscriptions (Jetpack)” widget to your sidebar.

  If you don’t have the Blog Subscriptions widget, visit the Jetpack link in your Dashboard and ensure the “Subscriptions” module is activated.

  Awesome! Is there a way via code or otherwise to put the info for subscribing onits on page as opposed to the sidebar? Also what about that cool follow me button that was at the bottom of the wordpress site. I found a plugin for that. Is that something I can get to go through jetpack subscriptions?

  timethief is right. I should have noted that any follow-up for Jetpack needed to be directed to the Jetpack folks via http://jetpack.me and other customization questions about the self-hosted WordPress.org to their forums at http://wordpress.org/support .
