Transferring tags to twitter

  When I share to twitter with the in-built wordpress share feature, is there a way for my WordPress tags to be transferred as twitter tags?

  If not, this feature seems rather pointless…

  Hello

  You mean rather, the Tags on your WordPress posts should be converted to Twitter Hashtags on the shared post?

  If that’s the case, you might need the help of plugins, and plugins is only allowed in Business Plan

  Yes, that’s what I mean. Shame. I wonder why the built-in service lacks this obvious functionality.

  Hi there why not customize your Publicize to Twitter message by adding a customized message in the post editor? You can add hashtags there. Here’s more on that from our support guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/

  Hi there,

  You’ll need to add your hashtags in the Publicize descriptions, as @justjennifer said above. Post tags go into the WordPress.com database for your site and is just a means of internal organisation for your content. They’re not part of the content that gets shared to other services.
