Transferring the content from another host to wordpress

  I’ve been using WordPress at http://www.cheekykid.com/blog/ , and I would like to transfer all the content/data of the existing host to the new https://cheekydiary.wordpress.com, is it possible? may I know how can I do it efficiently?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Sure thing, you can transfer all your content by importing and exporting the XML file. Have a look at this page for the detailed instructions:

  Oh yes! I just have it tried out and it worked! Thanks so much! I do have another question if you don’t mind. Where is the data storing? As I remember the media including pics were at my own server before, but I never know where the texts are.

  I’m not sure I understand your question. What text exactly are you looking for?

  We don’t offer any FTP or database access on WordPress.com. The only places where you can access and modify content on your site is via the traditional WP-Admin interface at https://cheekydiary.wordpress.com/wp-admin/, and the WordPress.com interface you see if you go to My Sites.

  Let me know if that’s not what you’re looking for.
